Best Student Paper Awards
ICOPS 2021 will be awarding two prizes for outstanding student contributions. Any student will be eligible who is the principal or sole author/researcher of either a poster or oral paper at ICOPS 2021, and who identified themself for consideration either at the time of abstract submittal or no later than registration. The awards committee will rank the papers for technical content and originality, and will solicit letters of recommendation from student advisors. Based on the above criteria, between ten and fourteen semifinalists will be selected to present their paper at a special oral session on Monday, September 13.
The basis for final judging will be technical content and originality, and other criteria such as graphic display and clarity of data presentation may also be considered. If there is a tie, preference will be given 1) to IEEE NPSS members; 2) to IEEE members; or 3) to non-IEEE members.
The final two (2) winners and two (2) runners-up will be announced during the award session of the ICOPS 2021 conference on the morning of Wednesday, September 15. The two winners will receive cash awards of $500 each and a certificate. The two runners-up will receive a certificate only.
