Presenter Instructions

Important: required registration for authors

The following summarizes the formats for Invited and Contributed Oral talks, as well as posters:

Oral presentations

Presentations must be uploaded onto the central server at least two hours prior to the beginning of your session. Due to the tight schedule, please note that speakers will not be allowed to connect personal computers to the projector, and session chairs will not be able to load presentations during oral sessions.

If a talk is not uploaded in a timely manner, the Session Chair will have the option to remove it from the program.
Presentations may be uploaded from CD, DVD, or USB flash drive. Only Power Point presentations (.ppt) and Adobe Acrobat files (.pdf) will be accepted, as the available software includes Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat Reader.

The presenter is responsible for knowing how to use the software for their file format; a speaker ready room will be available for practice.    When preparing a .pdf file, the authors should select the “press quality” option to ensure that the fonts are properly embedded.  The authors should bring their presentation on a USB memory stick or CD.

A computer, projector, laser pointer, slide advancer, and microphone will be available in each oral session room. Your uploaded presentation will be available from the central server in each session room. Audio Visual Technicians will be available to provide technical assistance.

Presenters are requested to:

Guidelines for Poster Presenters

The poster presenter is expected to remain at the poster during the entire time allotted to the poster session.  Since these salons are reserved all day for posters, presenters are encouraged to mount their poster in the morning (starting at 8 AM) and remove them at the end of the day (after 5 PM).

Posters must fit on 4 feet high x 8 feet (122 cm x 244 cm) wide poster board (landscape orientation). Each poster has been assigned a number, and must be mounted on the appropriately numbered board. (You can check the number by referring to the printed or on-line program once it is posted.)

Updates

Further information will be posted here when the Technical Program is completed to indicate times and venues, so check back before the conference starts.
