To help make your trip to Austin memorable for your traveling companions, we have put together a series of daytime trips that highlight the Austin and Texas Hill Country Experience. These tours will depart from the hotel mid-morning and will return later in the afternoon (specific times have not yet been finalized). Monday, June 1: Austin Culinary Crawl
If you love food and are looking to try out new restaurants in Austin, this is the detour for you! We’ll crawl through the city discovering the best spots in small bites and sips. We’ll visit three different places and enjoy custom-made small plates at each. Your taste buds are going to love this detour!
$85/person includes lunch, alcoholic beverages not included.
Tuesday, June 2: BBQ and Hill Country Wine Tasting
Many people come to Austin and say “where’s the REAL Texas?” Well on this tour, you’ll get out of the city and see just that! Our first stop will be the Salt Lick BBQ – one of the most famous BBQ pits in Texas. It is a “must do” for every visitor so you can check it off the list (and taste fall-of-the-bone brisket). Then, we’ll hop around wine country so we can taste a variety of Central Texas wines. We’ll stop at three different wineries so you can appreciate the differing styles, venues, and of course, wine. If you want a true Texan detour, this is the one for you!

Wednesday, June 3: Real Austin Tour
Discover the best of Austin in half a day! We whiz around town showing you all the major landmarks but unlike other tours, you get out of the van at many of the stops and actually experience what you’re seeing. We’ll go to all the usual suspects – the Capitol, the University of Texas campus, and other key sites, but we’ll also take you to lesser known gems that only a local would know about. We also take you into the neighborhoods so you can understand where people really hang out (can you say FOOD TRUCKS?!) This is definitely a “get out of the van tour” as we feel you need to experience Austin, not just see it from a window. This is like an Austin “bucket list” tour – we cover everything important in the city in just a short time!
