Symposium on Fusion Engineering (SOFE) Publications
SOFE will produce both an unrefereed conference record (proceedings) and a peer-reviewed special issue of the IEEE journal Transactions on Plasma Science.

SOFE Proceedings:
Instructions for Manuscript Submission
SOFE Proceedings Manuscript submission deadline: June 1st, 2015
To proceed with your submission of a manuscript for the SOFE 2105 Proceedings, follow these steps:
1) Verify that your manuscript follows the format of this MS Word template. This will allow consistency in the formatting of all submitted manuscripts.
2) Generate a PDF validated by the IEEE PDF eXpress system (use conference code 33899X, and register as new user if this is the first time you use the system). The system will point out any error generated during the check, and will generate the PDF once no format errors are found.
3) Enter the electronic abstract registration system for SOFE (login using the username and password that you used to submit your abstract) , and find the registered Abstract for which you are uploading the manuscript.
4) Click the “Upload SOFE Manuscript” button and upload the PDF validated by IEEE PDF eXpress (you will be reminded here to do format checking of your PDF with a link to IEEE PDF eXpress).
5) Click on the “Submit Copyright Form” and follow the instructions to complete your submission (you can do this step later, but it is required to have a filled Copyright form to publish the Proceedings manuscript) .
6) Page Limits:
- Contributed: 6 pages
- Invited: 8 pages
- Plenary: 8 pages
Please keep in mind that the contributions to the Special Issue of IEEE Transactions of Plasma Science associated with SOFE 2015 will be handled separately, and submission is expected to be open from June 5th to July 31st; any changes on these dates will be announced to the conference participants. SOFE Special Issue of Transactions on Plasma Science (TPS)
Authors who submit a paper to the proceedings (and present at the symposium) will be invited to expand on their conference paper for submission to a special issue of the IEEE journal Transactions on Plasma Science. The deadline for submission of the journal article is July 31, 2015. Journal paper must use the same template as for the proceedings given above.
The TPS paper must be an extended version of the Proceedings paper with a different title. It can be the same topic, but it cannot be identical. When submitting your paper through the TPS web site, please select “SOFE2015 Special Issue.”
The Guest Editors for the Special Issue are:
